This qualification is only available to candidates already working within the carpentry industry.
This qualification is assessment only and therefore only suitable for candidates who are working in the carpentry industry and have completed the Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry. This qualification will give the candidate industry recognition as a qualified Site Carpenter.
Learners must achieve the required units to fulfil the criteria from the mandatory and optional units associated with this qualification.
Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
Erecting structural carcassing components in the workplace
Installing first fix components in the workplace
Installing second fix components in the workplace
Maintaining non – structural carpentry work in the workplace
Setting up and using transportable machinery in the workplace
Where might it lead?
On completion of this qualification candidates may progress into employment as a qualified Site Carpenter.
Duration times will vary according to the time taken per individual to complete the workplace portfolio of evidence
This course is work based
Completion of a portfolio of evidence collected from a working environment
Workplace assessments, documented evidence of ‘real life’ jobs and witness testimonials
Candidates must have completed the Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry and be working in the carpentry industry
How much does it cost?
£4600 for the Diploma and NVQ Diploma
If the Level 3 Diploma has previously been completed as a standalone qualification with PGL Training the upgrade to the NVQ Diploma is £1250
